Taku Points:

A single glass light sconce that works as a wall and flush mount light. 

The integrated LED bulb is hidden behind the metal covering giving off a radiant glow while an internal diffuser gives the lamps three layers of light diffusion allowing for the most uniform lighting qualities.

Glass Facts

Glass features:

Crystal : A conical shape of glass in which light is interpreted through an interior void that is repeated in both pieces of glass. This repetition guides light up through both pieces of cast glass to wondrous effect.

Frosted: Two frosted pieces of glass diffuse the light which dissipates slightly as it moves vertically towards the top of the lamp creating more nuance and subtlety.

Sconce

A soft glowing form accentuated by clean metal lines and finishes. This fixture is ADA compliant as it is under 4" in depth, and over 5" in diameter. The integrated LED is hidden behind the metal cover to give it a radiant glow.

Same built as the wall sconce with a low profile that creates a solution for "hard-to-fit" design issues. Providing wonderful ambient light for when setting a mood is key.

Taku - Flush Mount

all in a name: Taku

The name comes with global context as the word itself has multiple meanings. Not only is Taku a glacier in Alaska it is also the name of an indigenous group that lives along the Taku River near the glacier. In Japan Taku means home, it has also been the name of an Orca, an astroid, and urban slang for a "cute guy".

Naming convention

Giving back to the ecosystems of North America

In an effort to bring ecology into the ongoing conversation we decided to start to derive our product names from the distinct ecosystems of North America.

With that commitment, we are starting a relationship with Project Drawdown to contribute to their mission financially with 3% of our profits from this collection as well as to educate further around our buildings industrial ecology.
